3" Turbo Exhaust System
Direct bolt in, turbo to tail. Features:
Flex section, v-band, Magnaflow catalytic
converter, over axle, one Moroso spiral flow muffler in front of the axle, one
Magnaflow 5"x8"x18" oval rear muffler.
Utilizing 3" piping and straight through mufflers
the turbo is able to breathe easier, which will improve its
performance. When converting from the factory turbo 240 exhaust to our
system, users can expect a noticeable gain in performance and sometimes a few
psi more boost. Uncorking the flow path behind the turbo makes it spin
easier, which is where the extra few psi comes from. It is usually only
a 1-3psi increase.
Two mufflers and a cat make for a fairly quiet 3"
system, perfect for a daily driver. This is the setup that I run on my
242 and I have taken the car across the country 3 times with no complaints
from my passengers. For weekend warriors looking for that louder more
aggressive tone, you might choose to delete the
middle muffler, the price will be lower
as well. For racing vehicles you might choose to go without a catalytic
converter, because launch control and spark cut rev limiters will destroy
them.
