CNC machined cool little doo dads!

Ever since getting a CNC lathe I've been making all kinds of neat little things aside from my regular line of products, mostly just custom little one off parts for my car.  Often times I'll get bored or stressed in the garage and need to do something else, so I'll look over at my car and say "hey, lets make that part in aluminum".  This page is your chance to get in on some of the action, to enjoy these neat little parts too!  I'll admit that some of them in the future might be fairly pointless, just cool decoration, however there's nothing wrong with that!

240 Antenna Hole Plug

I made one of these late one night while getting ready for a car show, ever since then I've been asked to make more. Most of us with 240's have long since ditched the silly factory antenna that sticks out of the trunk fender at weird angles and doesn't work that well anyways, I installed an A-pillar antenna from my '85 244, looks and works much better. But now we're left with a 3/4" hole into the trunk! Mine was plugged up with a sticker for 4 years to keep the leaks out, surprisingly worked great, but I knew there was a better solution.  It installs flush with the fender and uses an o-ring to seal the moisture out. Stays nice and shiny for a long time, plus a quick coat of wax (along with the rest of your car) will keep it fingerprint free.

Overkill? Definitely. Beautiful? You betcha.

$25.00 for one plug shipped  In stock!  2 left as of June 02, 2010

240 Strut Tower Cap

Same as the antenna plugs, I was up late one night getting ready for the Carlisle car show and thought it would be sweet to make a pair of these.  Purely made to look good and be a conversation starter.  This one took me quite a while to figure out, but the end result was worth it!  I only had time to make one for myself.

I'm not quite ready to produce more of these yet, have to make a new tool holder for my lathe first.  But if you're interested, feel free to send me an e-mail.  I haven't nailed down pricing yet, but I'm thinking around $45 shipped for a pair.  The design might change a little bit, and I might get creative and engrave a logo into the top or something.

The direction of my business is changing and I will be ceasing production on nearly all of my products for the next few months.  I need to concentrate on family, R&D and producing my big blow off valves!  Fun fun fun.

Ohh and my 4 axis CNC mill is up and running :-)

Opening most of the store back up again.  Very busy catching up on old orders of shifters and BIG strut braces.  Also in my spare time I'm working on converting my milling machine to CNC, very cool!  See the blog for info.

We just got a CNC lathe, so production will be much faster!  Also keep your eyes peeled for new and interesting products on the way...
